Our three-order payment policy
We value every customer who chooses to shop with us, and we know that trust works both ways. Here is how our payment policy works and why we introduced it.
PayPal, Visa & Mastercard
Direct payments become available after three completed orders.
Why we introduced this rule
Our business has been affected more than once by fraudulent transactions and deliberately false payment disputes. These incidents have caused real losses, including lost stock and revenue.
Small independent retailers have limited room to absorb those losses. Even a single significant fraudulent claim can put a small business under serious financial pressure and affect its ability to keep serving customers.
We introduced the three-order requirement to establish a customer order history before offering direct PayPal and card payments. It is an additional way for us to manage the risks our business has faced.
We understand this will not suit everyone
You may prefer to use PayPal or your credit card from your very first order. That is completely understandable, and we recognise that this requirement can be inconvenient for honest customers.
This is currently the most practical approach we can offer while managing these risks and continuing to operate as a small business.
Please use only a payment method you feel comfortable with. If the available options do not meet your needs, we respect your decision not to place an order.
Genuine problems deserve fair support
Fraud and genuine customer complaints are different. If your order is missing, damaged or incorrect, or you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us. We take legitimate concerns and refund requests seriously.
This rule concerns payment availability. Raising a genuine concern about your purchase does not make you a fraudulent customer.
